2006: Philippines - CentroMigrante – Low-cost Housing for Slum Dwellers in Manila, Philippines (1st Prize. MIT $100K Sloan Entrepreneurship Competition – Development Entrepreneurship Track. Team leader: Illac Dias.
2006: Philippines - FirstStepCoral - combine the new Gorlov turbine to harness unexploited tidal-energy to grow Biorock assisted coral reefs ($7,500 IDEAS Award): Team leader: Illac Dias.
2006: Philippines - Peanut Revolution. An upgradable version of improved hand peanut sheller ($5,000 IDEAS Award). Team leader: Illac Dias.
2006: Lesotho - Synergetic Power Systems – Lesotho. World Bank Development Marketplace Competition Winner (only winning student team in this competition in 2006). Libby Wayman and teammates.

2005: Nepal - Solar Water Disinfection Device. An inexpensive solar disinfection device that is easily transported in bulk to distribution sites, quick to disinfect water, and easy to use and maintain ($2,000 IDEAS Award). Team leader: Deborah Xanat Flores.
2005: Mozambique - Mozambique Environmental Sanitation Initiative (Public Service Center Award). Team engineer: Brian Robinson.
2004: Peru - Test Water Cheap. ($5,000 IDEAS Award). Team leader: Brittany Coulbert.
2003: Nepal - Lumbini Water Solutions. ($3,000 IDEAS Award). Team Leader: Melanie Pincus.
2003: Nepal - MIT UV Tube Project ($2,000 IDEAS International Technology Innovation Award sponsored by the Lemelson-MIT Program). Team Leader: Deborah Xanat Flores.
2002: Nepal - $1K Warm-up to the Sloan $50K Business Competition. Sustainable Development Category. Team member: Luca Morganti.

Of note, there have been 26 winning teams between 2002-2013; of those teams, 17 were led by women.
